"Fine, let's."

Paco was not by nature a bitter man but seeing them doing all of that when Hart could be somewhere? Oh yeah, you better believe it made him feel bitter. He started to move through the prison, being exceptionally careful because he knew people like to hang around here, people who Zoom was fond of. More than once, he'd run into Black Siren here and if he did that again, he'd be in trouble. "In your vision, where was Hart? Give me a recap, I'll try and fit the description to where I know."

[personal profile] thisismadfreaky 2016-12-07 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
He decides to ignore the bitter tone, because honestly it isn't surprising all things considered. He'll just move on and get down the business as they move through the prison. "There wasn't much to see. It was just a windowless room, I have no idea what else was around it." He hadn't had much time, either.

"You're always so helpful, Cisco." Paco was teasing, to a degree really, but his tone as always didn't quite convey it and mostly he just came across as a dick. His usual signature move, of course. He closed his eyes and tried to find Hart here, tried to feel his presence, to sense him. it wasn't working out so well. "The best place to check would be the furthest end, he always has locked doors there. Maybe he keeps prisoners there and just never told me?"

He just shoots him a Look and bites back the comment burning on the tip of his tongue because for the sake of this mission, he'd rather not start arguing like a pair of twelve year old girls. There were more important things to worry about. "That definitely sounds like something shady he would do." Even Zoom's most loyal wouldn't have known everything.
viber: (i can shatter things)

[personal profile] viber 2016-12-07 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nah, that's just tip of the iceberg with him. He keeps a lot of stuff from me. From everyone. It's how he works. Some of us know some things, others don't. He likes to play around and every few months, he'll alternate favourites. It used to always be me but --" But he stopped trust Paco, started playing head games and Paco stopped being so loyal. That was when things got complicated. Paco merely shrugged his shoulders as he paused in front of the door. "Being his favourite is only possible if you're as dead inside as he is. And I thought I was that."

He held out his hand and tried to use his vibrations to gently manipulate the lock. Lock-picking, Reverb style. "Dante always used to say I always had to contradict everyone. Even myself. He's not entirely wrong, I gotta give him that."

[personal profile] thisismadfreaky 2016-12-07 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Makes sense, I guess." In an evil dictator sort of way. Cisco still thinks it's shady, and probably not really how best to motivate a team, but, well-- his team is a bit different than Zoom's.

He follows Paco down to the door and watches as he works the lock. "You gotta teach me how to do that," he says as the lock opens with a soft click. He never exactly knows how to respond when Paco talks about Dante. Things were so different between them, and somewhere in the back of his mind where he refuses to admit, he's a little jealous of the relationship he had with his brother.

"I apparently 'gotta' teach you a lot of stuff." Paco pointed out as the door clicked open and he pushed it further open with a cocky smirk. "Honestly, how have you had your powers this long and not learned everything you can? When I first got mine, I studied the hell out of it." When he was done being terrified of it but hell, he had to get over that a lot faster than Cisco. "Have you triggered an Earthquake yet?"

What? That seemed like a fair question. He moved through the hallway, checking out any door around. So far? Dead ends. "I did. Once. A tiny one anyway." He smirked a little to himself. "Most of the damage was to STAR labs but that wasn't entirely accidental."

[personal profile] thisismadfreaky 2016-12-07 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
He pursed his lips a little against the criticism. "You know, not everyone actually wants their powers." Cisco happens to fall into exactly that category. He's getting better about it, since having Paco to train with and all, but he still has a long way to go before he has the same confidence in the whole thing that his mirror has. "No...no earthquake." He's not sure if he's concerned about that or in awe of it.

"What did you have against STAR Labs?" He glances over at him curiously, a little confused. His heart hammers in his chest as they check around the hallway. There is all the potential for things to wrong at any second and he's hyper aware of it right now in the otherwise too-quiet hall.

"Oh I know, I never wanted mine." Paco had been terrified of what he could do at first, he just found himself having no choice but to learn to control it. To love it. The power kept him safe, after all. "I was so afraid, I asked for help and no one gave it. Zoom taught me there was a better way. That fear was stupid and I could be something amazing. He made me strong." Paco sometimes wondered by Zoom built him up to knock him down like that but then again, it was Zoom. Who really knew how that mind worked?

Paco idly scanned the doors, unsure if this was even the right place or if Hart was really here. It was such a strange and far out idea that part of him still was unsure it was even real. "Harrison Wells." Paco answered bluntly, his teeth gritted. "If I could kill one person today, or any day, just one person? It'd be him." Not Zoom, interestingly, but Harrison Wells. He did pause, however, giving Cisco a look. "If Hart is alive, I never said that. He worships him."

There's something an awful lot like shock on his face at that. Somehow, they're always more alike than he expects, and when he's actually faced with it, Cisco isn't entirely sure what to do with it. Because somehow, Paco never seems all that fussed about anything and Cisco has no idea how he ever got that in control of everything because nine times out of ten, Cisco's whole range of emotions is painted all too clearly on his face, shaded in his voice, there's almost nothing that doesn't give away exactly what he feels, all the time. He kind of envies his doppelganger on that. "But at what cost?" It's not meant to be scathing or judgmental, whether it seems like it or not. He just kind of wonders if he regrets it couldn't have happened another way, with better people.

The vehemence in his voice at having to even speak the name is crystal clear and hangs in the air between them. And the part that comes next paints a pretty clear picture. "So, you have Wells issues, too. Good to know that's a multiuniversal constant." He mutters, shaking his head. He holds a hand up and mimes ticking a lock at corner of his mouth. "Won't hear it from me." He hopes they find some kind of evidence of what he saw soon. The longer they're here, the more his hope is trying to slip away. What if he was wrong?
viber: (I don't wanna do the thing)

"It was a hell of a cost but I had to pay it. You -- you wouldn't understand. Trust me." Paco paused near the end of the hallway, feeling his hope getting smaller and smaller. Okay, so he could be anywhere in here but time was an issue and this was the one place he kind of thought it could be. Fuck. What was he supposed to do if he didn't find him?

"Oh yeah? Did he screw you over too? Did he stab you in the back like the lying rat he is?" Paco paused in front of the last door and sighed. "Not that I'm bitter or anything." He reached out to touch the door, intent on just breaking it open when the moment he touched it, a vibe hit him. Hell, it smacked him right in the face and like that, he could see Zoom, he feel pain, he could hear crying, he could see Hart. Oh shit.

Paco jerked his hand away, his eyes wide. "Oh God." This was so unreal. This was not happening. "I-I think this could be it."
thisismadfreaky: (Dude seriously)

[personal profile] thisismadfreaky 2016-12-08 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
"I might." But he doesn't press any further than that.

"More like ripped my heart out of my chest." A beat. "Literally." And he knows that's not a helpful thing to say at all right now, but it's the truth. "He wasn't actually Wells, but he pretended to be for fifteen years." Talk about playing a long game.

He doesn't have time to think about or say anything else because Paco's vibing something and Cisco recognizes it in his face. Cisco's eyes widen at those words, the way his voice shakes the slightest bit as reality of it sinks down into his bones. He's not sure if he' right, but he thinks there might be too much for Paco to act, so before more than a blink has escaped, Cisco moves to tap his fingers lightly against the door, enough to make a light noise, "Hartley? Can you hear me?"
viber: (welp it sucks)

[personal profile] viber 2016-12-08 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
The Wells stuff, he was definitely getting back to that. Oh boy, he had a lot of ranting pent up he'd love to unleash but this? This took his attention. It took him a little while, lost in shock, to really react. And when he did, it was the complete opposite of how Cisco reacted. After all, Cisco was careful and right now, he was definitely the one thinking straighter.

Because Paco simply put his hand either side of the door and hit it with a blast so hard, it literally flew off it's hinges and landed with a crash. "Hart?!"
mostlyajerk: (going badly)

[personal profile] mostlyajerk 2016-12-08 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
Hart had been in a daze, not quite asleep, but about as close to it as he got. The room was dark, not exactly warm and he was in a cage and chained to the bars. Falling asleep wasn't easy, especially because of the collar around his neck that always ended up choking him.

So of course he missed whatever gentle noise Cisco produced. However, the door that was blasted off its hinges actually crashed against his cage and that was certainly enough to jolt him awake. He looked around as best he could, his clothes bloody and his face showing various stages of bruising. His glasses were skewed, but he was still wearing them, which helped him when he tried to identify whoever was intruding.

He knew that voice, but it couldn't be. Maybe he had fallen asleep. Maybe he was dreaming. Hallucinating. He hadn't eaten in a while. "Please--" He interrupted himself to clear his throat. His voice sounded hoarser than he wanted it to, there wasn't much reason to speak here. "Please, go, before Zoom finds you." Whoever this was.

Fuck. It literally broke his heart to his hear voice like that, to see him this state, the anger and the hurt, he could barely comprehend it. There were too many emotions. Hart was alive? Dear God, he was alive all this time? Paco didn't respond because his mind was just on auto pilot, he didn't think about a thing he did, he just acted. He hurried over to the cage and with one swift brutal blast, several of the bars just few right out of places, giving Paco easy entrance inside.

He dropped down in front of Hart and reached for the collar, vibrating it gently like he'd done with the door. Of course it was like Zoom to have a lock and key, so retro, so easy. "Hart?" Paco looked at him and - damn, he had his glasses on - he swiftly pushed them off his face so he could look at him, truly look at him. He was a mess but he was alive and he was definitely Hart. "It's me, I'm here. I'm going to get you out but we have to move very fast."

The collar disconnected in his hand and he pulled it away, wincing at the marks it had left. "I'm going to fucking kill him."
mostlyajerk: (objection)

[personal profile] mostlyajerk 2016-12-08 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Paco?" So he had to be dreaming. Paco was dead and this was Paco. Maybe he was dead? He almost let himself believe that, but he hadn't really believed in an afterlife in that sense in a long time and it was a bit too fantastic for his rational mind to believe, so he had to be dreaming. But it felt so real. "Don't leave me."

Perhaps he could drag this out somehow. Hart smiled, if tentatively, looking up at Paco. Then he took a deep breath and blinked to clear his vision, shaking his head a little. "I don't know what... Please. Go before Zoom comes."

"Oh yeah, it's me. It's Paco. And I'm not leaving you. I'm never leaving you again. Ever." Paco insisted as he started to do the same to the chains around Hart's wrists, slowly unlocking those too. As soon as they fell, Paco pulled Hart into a hug. He held him tight, pulling him in close and allowing himself this moment. Surely their escape could wait ten seconds so he could just hold him. "It's okay, yeah. It's going to be okay. I got you. We're leaving."

He raised his hand to stroke Hart's dirty hair. "We just need to get out of here so you're going to have to get up and we'll head to the breach together. Then that's it. No more Zoom, no more of this. Just you and me, yeah?" He had no idea how he was going to get Hart out of here quickly but he'd find a way.

As soon as he could move his hands, Hart reached for Paco's chest. His arm ended up trapped between them when Paco hugged him and all Hart focused on was Paco's heartbeat. How could it be? He had been in this very room, held by the throat by Zoom and told what he had done to Paco while he forced him to taste the blood left on his hand. Paco's blood.

It didn't feel real. Paco was warm and he wasn't used to warmth these days. As he turned his head he finally spotted Cisco and his eyes narrowed. "I know you. I've seen you."

But that had to have been a dream. If this was true, if all of it was true...

"I'm sorry. I don't know if I can walk."

[personal profile] viber 2016-12-08 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, it's a long story. We'll discuss it when you're safe." Paco knew Hart was weak, it wasn't a shock. He pressed a kiss to Hart's forehead and wrapped his arms around the other, trying to haul him up as carefully as he could. This was not going to go well if he carried him, he's lose speed and right now, they kind of needed that. Suddenly Paco was regretting his 'no speedsters for this mission' rule.

"Cisco, come and help me!" Paco snapped in a less gentle and polite tone than his husband because he was not the kind of ask nicely. "We need to move now."
thisismadfreaky: (Watching you carefully)

[personal profile] thisismadfreaky 2016-12-08 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Cisco stands at the edge of where there had once been a door, feeling awfully awkward and intrusive on this moment between them, but he stays quiet until Hart narrows his eyes at him and points him out. "Uh-- yeah. I- I'm Cisco." He says awkwardly. "I told you we were coming, we'd save you." He manages the smallest of smiles before glancing over his shoulder.

He doesn't care about the tone Paco uses with him, he jumps into action in a second, too rocked to the core at seeing any version of Hartley in the condition he's in right now to bother being miffed about something as insignificant as the way he's being spoken to. "We gotta make it quick." He knows that everyone's aware of that, but he's kind of the type to talk when he's nervous--shocker, surely, no one expected that at all. He helps Paco get Hart to his feet.

Somewhere in the distance, muttered orders can be heard.

"Shit." Of course, with all the noise Paco had made blasting the door off it's freaking hinges, people were aware of them now.
mostlyajerk: (waiting)

[personal profile] mostlyajerk 2016-12-10 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"You should leave," Hart just says the words quietly, because he already knows Paco will ignore them, even if he isn't quite sure he comprehends Paco being here yet. Even if he's dreaming, no dream Paco would leave him behind like this either. So he leans on the two doppelgänger's, less freaked out by it than somebody who isn't married to Paco, to Reverb might be. He is aware of multiple universes, Paco has told him a lot over their time together. "Do you have a plan?"
viber: (reverb redux begins)

[personal profile] viber 2016-12-11 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
"My plan is to kill everyone who stands in my way. I know we agreed no killing when you married me but this, darling, is a valid exception." And he wasn't taking no for an answer. Instead, he wrapped his arm around Hartley and started moving, making sure that Cisco was shouldering most of the weight. If things got messy, he was the strongest, it only made sense.

"I used to be all these peoples boss. I know their weaknesses, I know how to take them down." And he was ready to go after them. He started to move with Hart as quick as he could, one hand up ready to attack.
thisismadfreaky: (Really nice)

[personal profile] thisismadfreaky 2016-12-11 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
"We're not leaving you." He's insistent about that, because there's no way they did this just to leave Hart behind. No way in hell.

Cisco doesn't even bother speaking against the killing idea. The people here? They won't give them any other options, and he has no doubt about that. He moves in tandem with the pair of them. All they had to do was make it back to Hartley and they could all get the hell out of there.
mostlyajerk: (unhappy)

[personal profile] mostlyajerk 2016-12-11 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'd rather you wouldn't." Kill, that is. He also wishes that there is a plan other than killing anyone, but he can see the necessity here, so he doesn't comment more than that. He knows Paco will do what he needs to do, he always does.

What he doesn't expect is to hear the beginning of a song and, frankly, he assumes that he might be hallucinating when the music continues. This isn't something heard in Zoom's hideout. "Do you hear that?" He asks his question quietly, glancing from one to the other.
viber: (excellent point)

[personal profile] viber 2016-12-11 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hartley." It had to be Hartley. He turned to his husband and frowned. "Not you, the other one. He has his flute, he must be stopping them." Good, Paco didn't want to be slowed down. He kept moving, as fast as he could, practically running with Hart's dead weight between them. The guards around them didn't seem to be moving much but even so, Paco took no chances.

Anyone so much as in their line of sight was knocked down. Hard. "Are you gonna open a breach, Cisco, or am I?"
