I think I was about nine or ten when yo-- he...when he stopped wanting me to hang around. Right around the point he was starting high school. Told myself it'd be different later, get better when we're older because eventually the age gap wouldn't be as drastic as ten and fourteen are. [He shakes his head a little and fidgets with the zipper on his jacket.] It didn't...it just got worse.
