Truth of it is, Leonard would probably benefit from something like that himself, but he doesn't have cause to make the detention center to force him into it and he'll never ask for himself. Not even with all the resources of this place at his fingertips the way it is right now. But the fact that Rory is made to do it? Doesn't really make a difference to him, either way. He has issues.
