The words give Leonard enough space inside his head to stop trying to figure out what the he'll this weird tension is all of the sudden. "Why should I?" He pushes, unable to stop the words from coming out of his mouth, which is still turned up in a smirk at one corner.

He doesn't know what exactly just happened, or what could possibly be running through the older boy's mind, but he's got him off-kilter somehow and Leonard will always use what he can to his advantage.
