There it is again. That weird, electric-charged air in the almost non-existent space between them again.
Leonard isn't sure what it is, but it's tight and warm, low in his belly, and sticky across his skin. And it just seems to swarm hot and heavy all over him when Mick leans in with his lips right next to his ear. He feels the words almost more than he hears them and it sends a shudder he can't stop down his spine.
And it seems pretty damn effective for shutting him up, too.
He doesn't know what it means. That feeling. Whatever it is Mick seems to be looking for when he looks at him. The way he just stalks off in silence.
Leonard slips a little down against the wall, the standing equivalent of a stumble, before he pushes off of it and drops down onto the bunk below Mick, staring straight up at the mattress above him.
His mind is turning the scene over and over already, trying to figure out what it means, what the electric-snap down his spine and the fire brewing in his stomach was about. He kind of wants to ask, because he hates not knowing or understanding things, but this feels like the sort of thing he should understand already and he's too embarrassed to admit he doesn't know to ask at all.
