"My old man's always said I'm slow learner with a smart mouth." That's why the lessons keep happening, after all. It's a laughable way to frame abuse, but it's what Lewis has called it since he could remember and it kind of stuck. For awhile, he bought it, thought that if he could be a better son, he could make it all go away.

Eventually, he figured out nothing would ever be enough to make it stop.

"Maybe you can help me find a way to keep it shut. Seems like a pretty handy lesson to learn." He really doesn't mean it like it sounds, but even more than the words, but also the teasing inflection in them, it definitely sounds like a come-on of a kind.

Mick has a few hard limits, lines that he'll never cross.
And Snart is making it awfully fucking hard to stick to the right side of those lines with teasing lines like that. Because he can't mean it the way that he said.. can he?

He's got a forearm braced across Snart's chest, a fistful of his scrubs and Mick leans in until his lips are practically at his ear. "You better watch what you ask for."

As he pulls back there's a moment where Mick searches his face, wondering if there was even a chance.. but whatever he's looking for he doesn't find and Mick spins away, crawling back to his bunk with his back to Snart.

There it is again. That weird, electric-charged air in the almost non-existent space between them again.

Leonard isn't sure what it is, but it's tight and warm, low in his belly, and sticky across his skin. And it just seems to swarm hot and heavy all over him when Mick leans in with his lips right next to his ear. He feels the words almost more than he hears them and it sends a shudder he can't stop down his spine.

And it seems pretty damn effective for shutting him up, too.

He doesn't know what it means. That feeling. Whatever it is Mick seems to be looking for when he looks at him. The way he just stalks off in silence.

Leonard slips a little down against the wall, the standing equivalent of a stumble, before he pushes off of it and drops down onto the bunk below Mick, staring straight up at the mattress above him.

His mind is turning the scene over and over already, trying to figure out what it means, what the electric-snap down his spine and the fire brewing in his stomach was about. He kind of wants to ask, because he hates not knowing or understanding things, but this feels like the sort of thing he should understand already and he's too embarrassed to admit he doesn't know to ask at all.
