After Barry left the crime lab at CCPD, he checked in with Cisco to see if the Flash was needed. According to him everything was clear for now so Barry bid him good evening and headed home. It was rare he just got to go home after work nowadays. After he and Iris split up, after they saved the world from the Earth X jerks, after everything that had happened he really just wanted a quiet night in and maybe watch a musical or two.

He walked up the steps to his apartment and pulled out his keys to let himself in. He set his bag down, tossed his keys in the dish by the door and locked it behind him. Flicking on the light he stepped further into his apartment before he realized something was not right. His gaze landed on a familiar figure, a blad man with stubbled cheeks and an angry/annoyed look on his face was standing at the kitchen island with empty beer bottles scatterd all across it.

He was so shocked he couldn't keep the surprise and awkwardness of the situation of of his tone. "Hey Mick....what are you doing here? In my apartment?"

"Finally." An empty beer bottle is set down as the kitchen light is flicked on. "Been waiting for you to show up. You know for a fast guy you run pretty late."

Mick isn't anticipating this turning into a fight or going wrong. The kid is a do-gooder through and through, total White Hat. If he presented him with his case, there was a damn good chance Red would go along with it.

"Need your help with a little side project I'm working on."

And he isn't taking no for an answer.

"My help?" Barry asked extremely surprise because Mick Rory never asked for help, at least not from him. He couldn't even begin to think about what the reason would be. He didn't see the heat gun but he had a feeling it was close at hand, and he really didn't want his apartment to be burned down so he just stayed put where he was for now.

"Help with what exactly?" Barry asked needing clarification before he agreed to anything. Since Mick was part of the Legend's with Sara and Ray he wasn't too terribly worried...but well, anything was possible. Best to be cautious for now.

"Yeah. See the way I figure it, you owe me one. The only reason Snart ever got on the Waverider was because you went and put those idiotic ideas about being a hero in his head." Mick cracks open another beer and angles the bottle in Barry's direction.

"So you're gonna help me get him back."

"I thought Rip Hunter effectively kidnapped you all?" He asks before he really thought about it. "But I understand what you're saying." He says holding his hands up in a placating gesture because he does NOT want to piss him off. "Well..no actually I don't. How am I supposed to help you get him back? He died didn't he? That's what Ray said."

Barry thought about it for a moment before tilting his head to the side in confusion. "You want me to change history? I can't do that Mick, I can't alter the timeline like that besides...I don't even know where or when he died."

"First? Don't mention Hunter." A warning. There are certain trigger words that will still set him off and Mick needs to at least hold it together while he lays out his plan to the kid.

"I ain't talking about changing history and I ain't talking about changing timelines." He pulls out a device from his pocket, setting it on the table and triggering the display. "'ve had Gideon working on this for a few months now. Tempura calculations."

"I know where Snart is. You're gonna help me get him back."

"Noted." Barry says when Mick warns him about talking about the Legends...or maybe it's just Hunter...either way he's not gonna mention it. He listens as the man talks, confusion and awe apparent on his face because 1)Mick Rory was planning something of his own accord that didn't involve lighting something on fire. and 2) He was using science words. Big ones. Ones Barry understood but he was honestly surprised Mick knew what they meant.

He was so focused on the fact Mick was actually smart under that tough exterior that he almost missed the last thing he said. "What do you mean you know where Snart is? Is he still alive?!" There's hope there, on his face. All over it. He was so very sad to hear Len had died. Wait, hold up. Snart. Not Len. Snart!

"Yes. I'll help. What do you need me to do?" There's a small part of him that says this is a bad idea, that he should tell Cisco and Caitlin at least, but he doesn't. He wants to hear the rest of Mick's plan to save Len. Crap. Snart. Mick's plan to save Snart.

Mick has never really been able to get a good read on the kid.

Sure he'd had his suspicions about his identity long before the Waverider had been called back to Central to deal with aliens (and how Lenny would have loved that). Most of the time Mick doesn't talk about time, about temporal mechanics or how he's been suspicious that his partner might still somehow be alive.

He doesn't say it because they would either discredit it instantly, thinking him an idiot, or his goddamned aphasia would kick in and they'd consider it confirmed.

Nobody but Gideon has to know that Mick visits the library at night and tweaks Pretty's calculations to make tracking abberations easier.

It's easier for everyone that way.

So when Barry just accepts that he knows what he knows and agrees to throw in to help get Snart it's.. jarring. He'd been expecting a fight. A protest. Something.

"I need you to run, Sparky. You can run through time, you just gotta hit your target. Grab him and haul ass home."

Barry likes Leonard Snart for some unknown reason. He thinks he is a good person and he thinks he is worth saving. Therefore he will do whatever it is he can to save him, so long as it doesn't cause another problem like Flashpoint. From what Mick is saying though, and his own slight understand of how it all works...it sounds like Len is merely 'Lost' in the flow of Time and not necessarily dead in the standard meaning of things.

"So, what exactly? Am I running through a Temporal Breach or something? I mean as long as I know what to expect I should be able to so what you're asking me to do. Is it just us or are Sara and the others coming too?" He asks because, well he doesn't mind so much helping Mick out as long as he doesn't get double crossed in the end, but it might be nice to have back up if something goes wrong.

"No. They don't know about this." And they won't until it's done. Mick won't be stopped and he won't be deterred. This will work and it won't upend time. They're pulling a man out of the flow of time, not shattering it, not changing it.

"You create the breach here. Over there is your target. Where the disturbance is." Where Len is.

Barry looks at the display on the table and studies it intently. He has to memorize the point of contact because he wont be able to take this with him as he will be moving much too fast to utilize it. He deduces from Mick's statement that this is something between the two of them for now so he chooses to honor that perhaps against his better judgement. He nods once and looks up at Mick. "Ideally the best place to do this is in the speed lab at STAR, but that means the others would find out rather quickly since Harry pretty much lives there. So we're gonna have to use the hanger."

He continues to observe the display thinking through the plan. "If you're ready to do this tonight then I gotta get my suit. I can meet you in the hanger. Let's go save Leonard Snart." Or try at least. He knows something can go wrong and he just hopes it doesn't involve both of them getting lost.
