→ he don't play nice, he makes me beg
Date: 2020-02-25 08:12 am (UTC)Of course, the other workers tease him, ‘Ohhh, Klaus has a cruuush!’ always earning some playful bickering back and forth and consistently ended with one of the older people commenting about not falling for your johns, which has everyone rolling their eyes at the obvious remark. That was just something you didn't do, not while in the business where everyone's supposed to be seen as dollar signs.
Maybe Klaus would've been able to let it go, continue along as if nothing had happened; it's the usual cash grab and get out. But then Diego had to show up, right in the middle of one of his performances, either thinking he's hiding somewhere or being totally conspicuous by standing there on purpose. Regardless, he sees him and barely manages working through the last of his set before hurrying offstage, praying he gets changed quickly enough to catch him. He gets through in record time however, waving goodbye, making brief chatter about seeing everyone later then he's off without any more distractions.
Whenever he finally finds him again, Diego's near the bar, nursing a drink of some kind and Klaus's posture straightens, his shoulders squaring. He strides toward him, all slinky, graceful movements, plants a palm on the bartop once he's beside the other man then dips forward, opposite hand lifting to wave the bartender over. Something about ‘bring me the usual, please and thanks,’ and after the fizzy pink drink is placed on a napkin in front of him, he settles his fingertips atop the glass, rubbing lightly across the rim while he turns toward Diego. “Fancy meeting you here, mister policeman.” Does it sound ridiculous? Yeah, probably, but coming from Klaus, who's still all decked out in makeup, rhinestones and glitter and a too-tight outfit, is what comes out of his mouth really that important? Most people wouldn't think so and that's alright with him.
He takes a sip of his own drink, flashes a satisfied, almost smug-looking grin. “Didn't think I'd see you again anytime soon.”

Date: 2020-02-25 02:20 pm (UTC)He goes back life as usual over the next week, until he remembers a logo and pinpoints the club the dancer must work for. He shouldn't. He knows he shouldn't and it's stupid to go, but... those eyes. He hasn't been able to get those fucking eyes out of his head.
So... to satisfy the curiosity, when he's not on duty, he makes his way to the club. And goddamn if he doesn't walk in smack in the middle of the dancer from last week's set. He tries to blend in, standing within a mix of people, and has no idea he's been pinpointed in the crowd.
Later, he's nursing a beer when someone slides up next to him at the bar, making demands of the bartender and Diego doesn't have to look to know it's him. A smirk slides easily over his face as he turns toward the owner of the not at all subtle question. "What makes you think I'm here for you?" Though it could have been, the question isn't rude or sharp at all-- it's playful and, dammit he couldn't help himself, a little flirty too.

Date: 2020-02-25 05:00 pm (UTC)Sure, he's a cop, but what's the worst that can happen?
He catches Diego's gaze from the corner of his eye, raises his eyebrows with curiosity, feigning bewilderment when he turns to face him better. “Don't tell me, you came to see Angeldust? Sorry, sweetheart, she's married,” Klaus chuckles, momentarily turns back to his cup for another sip then sighs, contented. “But if you are waiting for someone else... I could just go along my merry way, then.” Then he turns away again, makes like he's actually considering leaving, although he knows Diego won't let that happen so easily; it's all part of the chase, after all.

Date: 2020-02-25 07:03 pm (UTC)"Hmmm, is that so?" he hums quietly. "Too bad," he muses, though honestly he has no clue who he was referring to. He tips his head slightly to one side, "Guess I'll have to make due with the company I've got instead, huh?" One eyebrow arches as he waits to see if that makes him stop.
"What do they call you, then?" So many nicknames tried to call from his lips--'sweetheart'
and 'hot stuff' both among them--but that felt like a little too dangerous territory to skirt just yet.

Date: 2020-02-26 12:34 am (UTC)Funnily enough, the girl he'd mentioned happens to be passing by on her way toward the exit, causing him to raise his free hand and wiggle his fingers. She's a cute, bubbly-looking little blonde, chattering away with a tall, darker-haired girl, although she does wave enthusiastically toward Klaus before they disappear into the crowd. Lucky for Diego, it does make him hesitate partway through his leaving though, a far too-wide grin tugging his lips up while he turns back around. “Guess you will.” But if he remembers correctly, he wasn't doing much complaining when they met last.
He sidles back up into Diego's space, stops just shy of their shoulders touching. “If I tell, you gotta promise not to laugh.”

Date: 2020-02-26 02:05 am (UTC)There's a slight feeling of success when he pauses and backtracks, keeps talking to him, and god, is he really that lonely? If he hadn't been seeking it, that kind of invasion of his space would have ended in a black eye, probably, but as it is right now? He doesn't even bat an eye at it. "I promise."

Date: 2020-02-26 03:22 am (UTC)Regardless of his reasoning, Klaus won't judge. They both are grown, consenting adults who can do whatever they want with whoever and nobody has any right to question it. Although it's probably a good thing Diego didn't deck him unless he's looking for a legitimate reason to get kicked out. “They call me ‘Jinx’ onstage,” he chuckles, takes another pull from his drink, “but you can call me ‘Klaus’ if you like.”

Date: 2020-02-26 04:49 pm (UTC)But then he's got a real name to go with the pretty face, and he can't help thinking that's more than he anticipated gaining tonight. "You're German?" At least his name is, anyway.
"I'm Diego." maybe he should have only given him his last name. Maybe he shouldn't have given him one at all. But he can't help it-- he is lonely, and Klaus is cute. How much could a little fun really hurt anyway, right?

Date: 2020-02-26 08:02 pm (UTC)He considers the question, thoughtfully rolling his lips then shrugging his shoulders. “Maybe? It's the only thing mommy left before she took off with some asshole and left me with the system.” Easy now, no need to hand out his life story so freely.
Getting a name in return though, that's somewhat unexpected. Diego, huh? Yeah, he'll be filing it away for later use, too. “Diego,” he repeats aloud as well, shifting slightly and reaching a hand out to rest on Diego's elbow. “Nice to meet you properly.” And if he's lucky enough, they'll get to know each other even better as the night goes on.

Date: 2020-02-26 08:30 pm (UTC)"You too, huh?" He hums softly, nodding a bit. "I tried to track mine down but never could find her. Maybe it's for the best," he shrugs and finishes off his drink, silently flagging the bartender down for another.
When he turns back to the conversation, there's a hand extended for him to take. An honest-to-God smile spreads across his face as he does just that, "Likewise," he says before pulling his hand away again.
"So... what's the rest of your night look like anyway?" He doesn't make it subtle, the way he leans just a little more into Klaus' space against the counter, what exactly he might be thinking.

Date: 2020-02-27 01:29 am (UTC)While he doesn't backpedal at all, Klaus does try and play it casual, shrugging his shoulders as well, taking a quick nip from his cup. “To be honest, you're probably right. After all, they left for a reason, didn't they?” Although he hasn't quite finished the drink he's got, he orders another anyhow, something different this time; a taller glass with orange slices on the side and cherries bobbing around in a coral-pink liquid.
At the sight of Diego's smile, his own mouth curves a little higher, something that's more sincere than it had been before. Funny how well this is going when he'd never expected to see this guy again. They briefly shake hands and he withdraws, finishing off his first drink then setting it aside for the other.
“Depends,” Klaus starts, still holding the straw between his teeth while he considers the way Diego leans closer. Then he dips further in as well, shifts until his lips barely brush the shell of Diego's ear. “Where do you wanna take me, sweetheart?”

Date: 2020-02-27 02:10 am (UTC)"Depends," he says, but all Diego is focused on is the straw between his teeth. And even that is gone once Klaus moves so close that he can feel his words as much as he can hear them against his ear. The shiver that runs through him is completely involuntary. His next words are a little tighter than he'd like, his tongue thick, "Wherever you wanna go," and in that moment, he means it.
Anywhere is a really open-ended thing, Klaus could really go hogwild with that if he wanted, but... realistically, it'll be some hotel nearby. And Diego's okay with that.
no subject
Date: 2020-02-27 02:36 am (UTC)Wherever he wants, huh? That's definitely an offer without limits, Klaus should just ask for a ride home and call it a night... but that's not at all what's on his mind right now. His teeth briefly flash, he exhales a soft sigh near Diego's earlobe then draws back, clutches his elbow with a bit more intent this time.
But where to go? They aren't going back to his place, it's not exactly ready for any visitors at the moment so that only leaves one other decision: “There's a hotel not too far away if you like? I'd take you into the backroom but something tells me you aren't one for that kind of show.”

Date: 2020-02-27 02:43 am (UTC)But he really, really is.
He doesn't resist at all as he's tugged away from the bar and so easily he falls into step with the lanky man who really looks like he could do with a good meal or two. "Not the seedy one off Madison Avenue, right?" Because he absolutely refuses to go somewhere like that, and he'll foot the bill for something better if that was his plan.

Date: 2020-02-27 04:00 am (UTC)Somehow being the keyword there because if he didn't want to be, he absolutely wouldn't.
His other hand lifts the drink again and he sucks down the remaining liquid in record time, sets the glass on the end of the bar, snatches the orange slices and cherries just before they're out of reach. One of the latter fruits gets popped into his mouth, chewed and swallowed then he casts Diego an inquisitive look. “You did see how much I made tonight, right? Don't worry, sugar, we can splurge on something decent.” Even if he's the tiniest bit offended. Sure, the Sunrise isn't the best but it's been there whenever he's needed something quick.

Date: 2020-02-27 04:15 am (UTC)He follows Klaus to the hotel with little more fanfare along the way. He's pretty sure he isn't the only one that's a little eager, with the way they both end up a little impatient when the front desk clerk at the hotel takes a little too long to get the room booked. Diego ignores the look the guy behind the counter shoots them and guides Klaus to the elevator, purposely a little more showy than necessary, an arm hooked around the dancer's waist, hand protectively resting on the opposite hip.
He doesn't even bother letting go when the elevator doors shut, in absolutely picture perfect view of the front desk. Instead, he leans back against the wall, trails his free hand to rest on the other hip and tugs Klaus closer, sending the clerk a wink right as the doors ding shut.
His eyes are focused on Klaus again without the outside distractions and he really doesn't want to let go, but he does, slowly let his fingertips trail down and away from Klaus' side. "I hate it when people get judgy." Which is slightly hilarious because he's a rather judgmental person himself, but there are lines he can't handle being crossed. And he's petty enough to always make a bigger point out of it than necessary when it happens.

Date: 2020-02-27 05:37 am (UTC)The whole way there, they make casual conversation, passing small, unimportant details between one another. Stuff about work, things going on in the world today, he's pretty sure something about the weather even came up— but the moment they reach the hotel, his stomach sinks ever-so-slightly. This place is far nicer than any other hotel or motel he's been to; the person at the desk doesn't seem all that impressed with them either, though Klaus doesn't give two shits. He is surprised whenever Diego's arm loops around his waist while they head for the elevator, eyebrows faintly arching with bewilderment despite how he moves his own arm to circle the other male's middle in return.
What surprises him more is that Diego hangs on even after they're inside, although he continues acting casual, lets himself be pulled closer and when Diego winks at the clerk as the doors are closing, Klaus raises his free hand, makes an obscene as hell gesture that can only be interpreted one way: yeah, fuck you, too.
He chuckles quietly once they start ascending to their destination, reaches up and settles a hand around his face, making it look as if he's trying to stifle his laughter, yet it also hides the slight disappointment at Diego's hand moving away. “Fuck 'em,” Klaus admits, shrugging his shoulders then tucking both arms below his chest. “People like that are everywhere, hot stuff, you just gotta learn to ignore them.” A beat then he grins, “Or make the scene worse.” Which seems proper, considering.

Date: 2020-02-27 08:46 pm (UTC)"Yeah, I know," he sighs the words out, shaking his head. "Doesn't mean I gotta like it though. And ignoring things has never been my strong suit." As he just made rather obvious with that handful of choices he'd just made, huh?
The elevator stops at their floor and the doors ease open. Diego has the key in one hand and grabs Klaus' hand with the other to lead him down the hall to the room they'd just booked. He slides the key in the door and slips inside a second later, key slipping back in his pocket before he turns back toward the other man.
"Finally, some privacy." he mutters softly, crowding into Klaus' space just enough to trail the back of two fingers against his cheek.

Date: 2020-02-27 10:09 pm (UTC)He chuckles in spite of himself, “Good to know you won't just turn a blind eye to things, then.” Might come in handy one of these days, depending on how long they see each other (but not in any way he could anticipate). Another thing he's contemplating because how long will Diego stay? Is this a one-time thing or is he going to see him again in a week? Honestly, it's something he'll have to consider later.
The doors open and Klaus's attention lifts, a faint smile quirking his lips whenever Diego takes his hand. He slips his fingers into the spaces between the other male's, follows close behind him, stops long enough for the door to swing out of the way and continues inside.
Once they're home-free and Diego's facing him again, he nudges the door shut with his heel, hooks an arm around his partner's shoulders, helps close the distance between them by drawing him in. “Gonna have to remember, ‘Diego doesn't like an audience,’” Klaus teases, leaning into the touch on his face, their lips barely a hairsbreadth apart. “Y'know, you're lucky I like you.”
no subject
Date: 2020-02-27 10:36 pm (UTC)But that doesn't mean he won't still indulge in the moment.
"Strong words for twenty minutes of knowing each other, don't you think?" He teases back, smirking slightly. He doesn't hesitate any further, he leans in and closes that barely-there space between them in a soft kiss that he can't help quickly turning into something a little more heated.
no subject
Date: 2020-02-28 05:28 am (UTC)Right now though, he's hardly worried what Diego will do to him. Unless it's something good, that is.
“That's not—” What I meant, he leaves unsaid once their lips meet. Immediately leaning into the kiss instead, his hands move to the front of the other's coat so he can start working on getting it off of him, the tip of his tongue circling Diego's mouth before delving in, no hesitation.

Date: 2020-02-28 05:44 am (UTC)He doesn't resist as he's pushed out of his jacket, letting it fall in a leather heap on the floor. Diego lets his hands wander back to his hips, partially to help guide him in backwards steps to the bed, but mostly because he just wants his hands on him.
Once the back of his knees hit the edge of the mattress he cinches his grip a little tighter before deliberately tipping them both backwards-- Klaus tilts forward to practically straddle him and Diego lets another noise rumble in his throat.
Every move he makes is a little more frenzied than the last, a fervor filling him up from the inside and desperately seeking more. His fingers slip under the mesh of Klaus' shirt and the kids is only broken long enough for him to mumble against his lips, "Come on," before he loses himself in another kiss.
no subject
Date: 2020-02-28 07:25 am (UTC)Then his grip tightens, causes goosebumps to rise along his arms, another noise escaping whenever they're tilting toward the mattress. Klaus's knees settle on either side of Diego, pressing lightly into his hips while he rolls down against his lap with a muted sigh.
He inhales, sharp and pointed, eyelashes fluttering after Diego slips underneath his shirt, reaching down and yanking it up over his head before they're coming back together for another liplock. The shirt gets tossed aside as well, one hand splaying across Diego's breastbone, the other cupping his cheek, urging them to come apart again. His thumb drifts over Diego's lips, their breath mingling when he asks, “We gonna go all the way, baby?”

Date: 2020-02-29 06:07 am (UTC)The weight of the othrr man in his lap is a comfort-- he has been alone so much lately, it's just nice to not be, now.
His eyes slide up to catch Klaus' gaze, lip weathered between his teeth before he catches the other's thumb there instead. A grin breaks his feather light grip on his thumb and he nods, "Oh, yeah... wouldn't need a whole hotel room if we weren't, sweetheart."
no subject
Date: 2020-03-01 08:53 am (UTC)He arches his eyebrows when Diego catches his thumb, a slow smile lifting his lips as he rubs the digit into the corner of his mouth once it's freed from his teeth.
“So, what are your thoughts on handjobs in the backroom then?” Kidding, he's kidding— and for emphasis, his hand lowers to dust his knuckles across the curve of Diego's jaw while he leans to capture his lips again. Then he rocks up onto his knees, reaches between them with his other hand, fingers nimbly getting his partner's pants undone.
