Len's return home from Juvie
Date: 2018-02-23 01:25 am (UTC)Lisa misses her brother too, he's been gone for almost 8 months now. Of course a five year old doesn't really understand the measurement of time passing beyond several days at a time. To her she just knows that it's been a long time since she's seen him but her grandfather makes sure to tell him that he's alright. He's been to see him and check up on him after all. He's also going to be there to pick him up when he is finally released.
It's about noon on a Friday. She's been home alone for 6 hours now, typical of her day since her mom left unless her grandpa stops by. She's watching TV, her stomach growling because daddy forgot to make her breakfast again and they're out of bread..so she can't make herself a cheese sandwich. She has some crackers but she knows if she eats them now she will be even hungrier later. She really hopes grandpa comes by soon. Maybe he'll make her some mac and cheese...or even just a grilled cheese. She'd like that. Nothing fancy..just something warm would be nice.

Date: 2018-02-23 04:08 pm (UTC)But it's still a very long eight months.
He can't write letters to Lisa because she's too little, so he draws things and sends her picture instead. It's the only connection to her he has.
Until the day finally comes and he's being released. His grandpa is there to pick him up, just like he promised. He always follows through when he makes a promise. He takes him home and Leonard slips in the house. "Lise?"

Date: 2018-02-24 02:34 am (UTC)Their grandfather comes in behind Len tutting softly at the state of the young child and carries some things he'd picked up for both his grandchildren inside.
"What do you kids say we get cleaned up and go get some lunch?" He says kindly to the children. And about that time Lisa's stomach gives a loud growl prompting her to burst out in a fit of giggles.
"The monster in my tummy want's pancakes. Is that okay? Can we go get pancakes, Lenny?"

Date: 2018-02-26 08:59 pm (UTC)So Mick stomps out for a drink and possibly more agreeable companionship for a night, or maybe just a fight, he won't say either way.
But he's back in the morning because he simply doesn't have it in him to stay away for long.
What he doesn't expect is to find a much smaller Snart waiting for him when he lets himself in with coffee and food.

Date: 2018-02-26 10:42 pm (UTC)She'd tried talking to her brother but he didn't seem interested in talking to her so she took it upon herself to walk to Mick's house to talk to him. She let herself in with her brothers key that she nicked from him and sat waiting for him to return.
"Uncle Mickey." She said to him softly and pushed one of the two cups of cocoa towards him. It wasn't as hot as it had been but it was still warm enough to be drinkable. "Sit and have a drink with me?"

Date: 2018-02-26 11:18 pm (UTC)"Your brother is gonna have a stroke if you aren't home on time, Princess." But Mick still moves to sit with her. She's getting better at making cocoa, he's only been teaching her for years now.
"What're you doing here?"

Date: 2018-03-04 04:43 am (UTC)"Lise, wait." He sighs as she tries to grab every random thing on every shelf they find that looks interesting enough to put in their basket. "We can't just buy the whole store, you know." He's teasing her, mostly. But it's also true-- he's on a strict needs only list, here, because he doesn't have much cash to work with right now.

Date: 2018-03-05 01:22 am (UTC)They wander through a few more aisles, Leonard picking up things they need and Lisa curiously questioning if they can have this or that, but as five year olds are wont to do, she gets distracted and darts away from him because something really got her attention and she couldn't let it get away.
"Shit," Leonard mutters and abandons the grocery basket in the middle of the aisle as he runs after her. "Lisa!"

Date: 2018-03-04 05:53 pm (UTC)[Mick has pretty great timing because that's about the time Leonard was starting to freak out. He drops onto the bed, staring at the phone in his hand.]
Fuck.
Okay.
[...]
Why is she at your place?
Is everything okay?
[Is she more comfortable talking to Mick the him about things that bother her now? Is he the thing that's bothering her, forcing her to be unable to talk to him?]

Date: 2018-03-04 06:21 pm (UTC)I'm gonna feed her lunch and bring her home.
You know I'm not mad at you right?
Because I'm not.
no subject
Date: 2018-03-05 02:30 am (UTC)I'm still confused, what'd she run off to your place for?
What do you mean?
[Is he being facetious or is he actually confused? Oh, man. Text messaging is going to make Leonard even harder to understand. Sorry 'boutchur bad luck, Mick.]

From:First time Lewis goes after Lisa. Len + Mick
Date: 2018-03-07 11:53 pm (UTC)She looks at the clock, smiling even wider because she knows her dad is long gone doing whatever it was he was up to now a days. He went to work early and came home late so she was able to avoid him most of the time now without incident. Thankfully he seemed to forget she was there if he didn't see or hear her. She didn't understand why he didn't love her anymore...but getting ignored was better then him yelling or throwing things at her.
Lisa untangles herself from her bedsheets and gets up. She goes about her morning routine before she dresses and heads downstairs looking for her brother.
"Lenny?"
no subject
Date: 2018-03-17 10:49 pm (UTC)"In here, Lise." he calls from the kitchen when she wanders downstairs to find him. He's at the table, pouring up bowls of cereal for the pair of them for breakfast. Lewis is gone, and Leonard couldn't be happier that the old man's too busy to be around for Lisa's birthday.
"Mick should be here in an hour or so," he tells her, sliding one bowl to set in place at the seat across from his own. "then we'll be all set to go to the movies." Leonard can't say that The Rescuers Down Under would have been on his list of top picks of movies to see, but Lisa was hyped about it and that's all that mattered.

From:Lisa's growing independence AKA she wants Mick cuddles Mick + Len
Date: 2018-03-16 10:42 pm (UTC)She knocks on the door and when Mick doesn't answer she uses her key, her brothers key that she stole again because yes. She does that. And let herself in.
"Micky? You home?" She calls out as she walks inside and starts to pull her coat and shoes off, leaving everything in a wet heap beside the door.

Date: 2018-03-16 11:07 pm (UTC)He'd been working extra shifts to cover upcoming birthdays for Lenny and Lisa, so in the end it would be worth it.
But a small voice has him swimming towards wakefulness, screening at his eyes. "Hnnh... Lise? What're you doing here Princess? Where's Lenny?"

From:Sometimes siblings fight Len and Lisa
Date: 2018-03-27 06:22 pm (UTC)She's a freshman in high school, and as much as both she and her brother hate it, she hasn't been able to get away from Lewis yet. The cops don't care and the more they try to fight it the rougher it is on her to be there so she's stopped trying for the most part..she just stays away as long as he lets her.
It's a random Wednesday night...well morning depending on how you look at it, and she's been staying with Len and Mick since the previous Friday. So far Lewis hasn't noticed shes not home, or if he does he doesn't care. He'll call her when he wants her back home, until then she's free. Well, free-er.
She's been at a party, a friend of her's was turning 15 and they had a big bash. Just the girls, but they got trashed...she's still pretty drunk and maybe still a little high as she stumbles into the apartment at 2am. She would have stayed at her friends but parents showed up and she didn't wanna be around that noise so she'd come home. She giggles slightly as she trips over her own feet and makes a shhing sound at herself to be quiet. She didn't think anyone would be up this time of night waiting for her.
no subject
Date: 2018-03-27 07:02 pm (UTC)It's nearly two in the morning when she stumbles in. It's less that he stayed up waiting and more he just happened to be awake because sleep wasn't coming. He was fighting with Mick a lot these days, and he isn't sure how to handle it. There are things he should be more upfront with him about, but... well, Leonard's no good at talking things out and they just keep going in these ridiculous circles.
But to say he's not in the best of moods when his baby sister trips her way inside at nearly two hours past the agreed curfew is an understatement. He'd sort of assumed she was staying with Stacy, but apparently not. "Lise?" he calls out in question, even though he's got no doubt it's her.

From:Taking care of them is hard work. with Mick and Len
Date: 2018-03-30 09:11 pm (UTC)It's been a little over a week now and she's finally all unpacked and settled in. It was a little surreal feeling knowing she wouldn't have to leave again, wouldn't have to worry about Lewis coming after her.
She decides to just chill in her room until the guys get home, they'd been gone since the night before but had promised to be home by dinner today, so she wasn't worried yet.

From:Mick and Lisa with some Len - Lisa asks about Mick's past
Date: 2019-02-11 11:48 pm (UTC)She didn't get expelled thankfully but she was suspended for the rest of the week, three days. And she would have to meet with the guidance counselor for three months to discuss alternative ways to deal with bullies. Secretly a lot of the teaching staff was mildly impressed. She was slight and small for a fourth grader and the fifth grader she'd decked had been twice her size with easily 50 to 60 pounds on her and she'd laid him out flat without breaking her hand at all.
Mick was called to come pick her up as he was listed as an emergency contact. She was so angry for him that as soon as she was in the back seat of his car a few tears escaped. That boy was wrong. Mick wasn't any of those things....even if she didn't really know what they were. She knew what a murderer was but not what a pyrowhatsit. Whatever it was her Mickey wasn't that.
